Abstracts:

The article examines some set speech patterns of non-cooperative response replicas in question-answer adjacency pairs of a conditional-phatic type, presented in informal communication in the Russian language. The relevance of the study lies in the scientific-humanitarian and general cultural significance of applying an interdisciplinary cognitive-discursive approach to the analysis of Russian informal dialogic communication based on corpus data. The study material is contexts extracted from the main corpus of the Russian National Corpus. The volume of the material amounted to 250 minimal dialogic units. The methodology of corpus-discursive analysis was used. The immediate subject of the study is the set speech formulas “Ty mne ne X.” and “Ya tebe ne X.” in response replicas. The conception of the study is based on an expanded understanding of phatics, according to which the dominant intention of phatic speech interaction, which consists of orientation toward establishing contact between the participants in communication, in real communication conditions can be transformed into an attitude toward “clarifying relations”, which leads to violations of the principle of communicative cooperation. It is shown that the studied set speech formulas in response remarks have significant verbal-aggressive potential because, instead of an informative response required in accordance with the pragmatic principle of illocutionary compulsion, they contain a negative characterization of the initiato’'s intentions, a negative attitude toward the content of the proposition explicitly stated in their remark, or a rejection of their personality as a whole. It is concluded that, in general, these phenomena perform the meta-communicative function of “transition to personalities”, which, in fact, makes them effective communicative mechanisms of phatic speech interaction of the conflict type.
