Abstracts:

In this article, the authors analyze the relationship between value orientations and perceived resources for personality formation in the narratives about students’ life plans, focusing not on the plans themselves, but on the underlying meanings of these stories. The study of narrative texts (narratives), particularly in the context of higher education, provides an opportunity to explore the experiences of individuals, groups, and entire sociocultural layers. By adopting an interdisciplinary approach to the study of life plans through narrative analysis, we can gain a deeper understanding of the subjective meanings embedded in these texts. This study examines the narratives of students from I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University and I. Ulyanov Chuvash State University about their future life plans. By considering the values and resources of personality formation in a unified system, the article focuses on the reasons and personal meanings in the texts when students are building their plans for the future. Based on the content elements of the narrative, such as events, thoughts, and language, the article conducts a content analysis of the opinions of students regarding their life plans. The study reveals that the specific narrative of life plans is determined not by the objective availability of resources, but by their subjective assessment and the hierarchy of values.
