Abstracts:
The relevance of the problem considered in this study is due to the need to improve students’ foreign language communicative competence through the use of multimedia technologies, as well as the limited research on this topic. The purpose of the study is to determine the basic principles and methods of interactive learning for the development of students’ communicative competence, as well as to study the influence of interactive methods on the level of foreign language proficiency and students’ ability to communicate effectively in real communicative situations. The study sample included 29 students who were divided into two groups – experimental (14 students) and control (15 students). General scientific methods of theoretical research include analysis of literature of both domestic and foreign authors whose works are relevant to the issues under consideration. The methods of the pedagogical experiment included observation, analysis of test results and statistical processing of the obtained data. The approaches to defining communicative competence are considered, the definition of communicative competence is given, it is revealed that the use of multimedia and interactive technologies contributes to a more rapid and sustainable development of communicative competence. It is considered how the principles of interactivity, systematicity and visualization can be adapted for different levels of students, improving their participation in the educational process. The results of the pedagogical experiment demonstrated differences in the development of students’ communicative competence between the experimental and control groups after the use of interactive teaching methods in the experimental group. The study showed that multimedia significantly accelerates the development of students’ communicative competence, especially when time and motivation are limited. Effective teaching requires taking into account the level of students’ preparation and introducing exercises in stages. The principles of interactivity, consistency and visualization help to cope with the lack of study time and motivation, especially in distance learning. Audiovisual means create a language environment, allowing to practice listening and speaking skills at an early stage. The gradual development of reading and writing skills through multimedia technologies strengthens communicative competence.
