Modern science offers various approaches to the study of the professional training process, including research works based on a spatial understanding of the organization of activities in education. The relevance of the study is due to the socio-economic challenges and is determined by the state task of formation of a single sovereign educational space at all levels of the educational system. The purpose of the work is to define and reveal the content of the concept "educational space of higher pedagogical education", to identify the features of application of the considered approach into practice. The study analyzes scientific and methodological works aimed at studying the process of professional education from the perspective of spatial terminology. The following methods are used in the work: analysis of scientific publications and legal normative documents, methods of comparison, generalization and interpretation. The paper identifies and substantiates the problem of spatial understanding of higher pedagogical education, characterized by a socially significant mission as a component of the country's unified educational space.
