Abstracts:

The article examines the development of archival education in the RSFSR during the 1920s-1930s. This period represents a crucial stage in the formation of the Soviet model for training archival specialists, marking the transition from pre-revolutionary approaches to a centralized education system. The relevance of the work stems from the importance of understanding the mechanisms of professional archival education development during radical socio-political transformations, as well as the need to examine the balance between preserving professional traditions and implementing new ideological approaches. The research employs the historical-genetic method to trace the evolution of archival personnel training systems. The article analyzes the establishment of the Moscow Archival Institute, changes in curricula under ideological influences, and specific features of personnel training for national regions. Particular attention is given to the contradictions between professional standards and the politicization of education. The study emphasizes that despite ideological distortions, the 1920s-1930s saw the creation of a sustainable archival education system that preserved professional traditions and laid the foundation for the further development of archival science in the USSR. The findings contribute to understanding the history of professional education and contemporary challenges in training archival specialists.
