Abstracts:
Today, classical pedagogical forms of learning are being widely transformed into a digital format. Online quizzes are starting to become very popular and a definite niche in education. The purpose of this work is to study significant characteristics for pedagogical measurements, such as reliability and validity, in relation to online quizzes. The methodological basis of the research was analysis, synthesis, generalization, analogy, concretization and abstraction. The results of a regional online quiz organized and conducted by the author served as a material for obtaining scientific results. The article defines the basic concepts and possibilities of online quizzes in education, cites their classification and establishes their purpose. The author points out that in order to achieve the effectiveness and profitability of online quizzes for the educational system, it is necessary to pay attention to quality criteria such as reliability and validity. These characteristics, their usefulness and necessity, calculation methods and the significance of the obtained digital indicators are briefly disclosed. Based on the results of the author’s online quiz “Artificial Intelligence”, the methodology and table excerpt in MS Excel are provided for calculating reliability using the splitting method. The obtained and adjusted numerical indices of the considered characteristic are analyzed using Pearson and Spearman-Brown correlation formulas. The article points out additional factors such as the wording and design of the online quiz, which can also affect its main quality criteria, for the calculation of which it is necessary to bring the results of the event to the necessary form of a matrix in MS Excel. The obtained characteristics will help the teacher to confirm the measurement levels of the online event.
