The relevance of the work is due to the need to resolve the contradiction between the high importance of the mental readiness of military personnel and military units for the activity in extreme conditions, and the insufficient scientific development of the complex of organizational and methodological conditions of combat training that ensure the formation of this readiness. The paper presents a set of organizational and methodological conditions of combat training developed by the authors: familiarization of military personnel with combat stress factors that they may encounter while on duty; training to deal with situations of perceived danger; formation of skills for mobilizing psychophysical resources in extreme situations; formation of team spirit; modeling of extreme conditions and the content of service and combat activities; compliance of mental and physical loads with the level of mental and physical readiness of military personnel for activities in extreme conditions; prevention of deviant behavior, organization of individual work with military personnel prone to deviant behavior; reliance on moral and value orientations to increase motivation to perform military duty; personal example and humane attitude of the commander to subordinates. The results of a pedagogical experiment involving 17 military recruits in the period of 6 months after arrival in the unit are presented. It has been established that the organization of combat training of military personnel, taking into account the complex of organizational and methodological conditions developed by the authors, provides a significant increase in adaptability, emotional stability, stress resistance, risk tolerance and a significant reduction in personal and situational anxiety. The level of group cohesion of the military unit has significantly increased.
