Abstracts:

The article is devoted to the Second All-Union Congress of Teachers in 1968 in Moscow. The best teachers of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic took part in the highest forum of the country to discuss significant educational issues of national school education. The relevance of the article is due to the need for an in-depth study of the experience of the best countries in order to introduce it into the process of teaching and educating modern schoolchildren. In regional historiography, the topic has not yet become the subject of special study. The authors introduce new archival and reference materials into scientific circulation, covering the participation of the Chuvash delegation at the congress of teachers in the Kremlin. In total, 21 delegates were represented at the congress, including Hero of the Soviet Union I. G. Meshakov, Hero of Socialist Labor I. N. Nikiforov, Minister of Education of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic G. S. Sidorov, Rector of the I. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical Institute A. S. Markov and others. The delegates took an active part in the discussion of the School Charter, topical problems of the practical implementation of secondary education in the country. The positively accumulated pedagogical experience of teachers, delegates of the congress can be in demand in the modern conditions of modernization of the Russian secondary school education system. The article can also be used by students of pedagogical universities.
